About Randy and Rhonda
Randy Shotts and Rhonda Shotts are former UCWDC Division I Grand Champions, retired Masters Division competitors, and have been the directors of the Portland Dance Festival since 1998. They are active members of the UCWDC (United Country Western Dance Council) where Randy has the formidable job heading up the UCWDC Country Dance World Championships event as its Director. Randy is also the administrator of the Country Two Step Tour (CTST), an organization dedicated to tracking participation in two step Jack and Jill competitions nationwide. Together, they are the Directors of the Portland Dance Festival held each July in Portland, Oregon.

Prior to moving to the Northwest in 1992, Randy was a Procurement Manager at Hughes Aircraft Company in El Segundo, California. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Long Beach State University. He began teaching Country Western and Swing dancing in 1991 and from 1993 until 2003 taught dancing full time. In the fall of 2003, Randy retired from teaching full time in exchange for selling Real Estate. He and his business partner opened Cornerstone Properties NW in the Spring of 2006 and Randy continues to be an integral part in all of its business operations. Real Estate has turned out to be a rewarding and challenging career—one in which he excels at and truly enjoys. He also continues to teach his weekly class at Bushwhackers Dance Hall and Saloon in Tualatin, Oregon as well as a few private lessons every now and again.

Rhonda is a former Administrative Secretary and holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Home Economics. She currently resides in Weldon, California. She is the former Newsletter Editor and a founding member of the Portland Swing Dance Club. She currently serves on the UCWDC Ethics Committee and is the Staff Coordinator for the UCWDC World Championships, to be held in San Francisco in January of 2018.

Their daughter Emily is 2014 graduate of Portland State University, has her Real Estate License and currently works as the licensed assistant for a wonderful team or Realtors at Keller Williams in Beaverton. Rhonda’s son Matthew, daughter-in-law Quanah, and granddaughter Kailey, 4, recently relocated to Newburg, Oregon. Matthew continues his work as the Frozen Foods Manager at Fred Meyer in Tualatin while Quanah has recently started a new job at National Vision Works.
